Summary: All Gondorian noblemen learn the High Tongue, at least the basics. But the Steward’s sons should know it well, so a real Elf is hired as a tutor. He is the first of the Fair Folk to be seen in Gondor for ages, and attracts lots of attention – Faramir in particular finds him entirely fascinating… Naturally, the young lord ends up getting a bit more than the education his father is paying for. Boromir finds out and does not approve… Why exactly does he not approve? Mm, you decide.

Summary: As a father, Thranduil can be a little overbearing. Legolas constantly feels the need to be perfect and 'princely' in everything he does. One day, while journeying about knocking off orcs for fun, he meets up with a roving group of entertainers.

Alas! The leading lady breaks her leg and cannot act. (You can see where this is going, right?) Legolas discovers there's a something perversely enjoyable about dressing up as a girl and acting on stage in the many villages of men they pass through. Thranduil would have a fit if he ever found out!

This goes on for many years until, one midsummer's eve, Legolas is giving a fabulous performance when who should show up but Elladan and Elrohir!

They've never met, but Legolas instantly realises who the twin peredhel are. Legolas must make a hasty escape before he is discovered!

Unfortunately for him, the twins have seen the incredibly beautful lead 'actress' on stage and are desperate to win 'her' favour!

(Extra credit if you manage to include Elrond worrying over his sons' infatuation with a 'mortal woman!')

Summary: Liriel of Lothlorien is Haldir's sister and has been the secret lover of Prince Legolas for years. She is Arwen's closest female friend and an ex-girlfriend (not sexual!) of one of Arwen's brothers. What happens when Liriel arrives for the Council of Elrond as Legolas' new bride? I'd love to see the interplay between Haldir and Legolas over the very quick wedding, and how you persuade Gimli that it's a good idea to have another Elf in the party. How do you convince Boromir that a female elf can be a warrior? Must have the couple trying to sneak away for quiet moments but always being interrupted - and I'd love to see someone explaining Elven sex to the hobbits! I'd also suggest arguments between the young couple where Liriel makes it plain to all and sundry that she has a will and a mind of her own. I'm also wondering how things change if someone manages to heal Theoden's son? If you write as just LOTR, great. Cross-over options preferred would be Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Harry Potter.

Summary: Write a story of life at one of the great elven settlements (Gondolin, Nargothrond, Doriath, Rivendell, Lothlorien, etc.) from the point of a woman living a traditional (ie, not warrior-maiden) life there, and using Sei Shonagon or something from her Pillow Book as an inspiration.

So she decides to take some action, and, knowing his er, interest in young men, decides to play a little game of once again pretending to be a lad. Well, she gets a little more than she had expected.

Summary: Young Faramir has his first crush – no, not on Boromir. He writes a letter with a confession, but has doubts over its content, and asks his older brother for second opinion. As Boromir listens to Faramir’s impassioned reading, he realises with a shock that he would like his little brother to express these feelings for him – but is a little too stunned by this sudden revelation to actually voice it just now. So time goes by, and an elated and unsuspecting Faramir keeps Boromir posted re the rapid developments in his first love affair. Well, what will Boromir’s internal struggle come to? Will he ever dare voice his feelings? And if he does, what will come out of it? Faramir is, after all, already in love…

Summary: Faramir discovers his brother is having an affair with Queen Arwen. What is Faramir to do? The new Steward of Gondor Boromir II and Queen Arwen Undomiel have a thing. Boromir and Arwen? Yes. Whoever told you he is not her type? Of course he is. He is gorgeous and irresistible. He just is. And he makes her happy in bed. So there. No further discussion on this point. Where does Faramir fit into the plot? Faramir is the only one who knows about this relationship. Maybe he knew about it before it had even turned into a full-blown affair, or maybe he found out some time later – up to you. Question is, what is he going to do? He has his duty to his king, his duty to his brother, to his queen, to the state, to the good people of Gondor. Perhaps, although this is facultative, he himself has feeling for one of the parties involved…

Summary: Faramir gets his hands on a magic ring. Possibly as a present from Mithrandir. At first he does not know it is enchanted, but soon discovers it gives him some special power: hearing another’s thoughts, seeing the dreams other people dream at night – or, maybe, when he puts it on, takes a quill into his hand and pronounces a person’s name, his hand will write out the desires of that person. Whichever, really – with the help of this ring he should inadvertently come to learn of another man harbouring a secret passion for him – Boromir is the first to come to my mind, but feel free to choose someone else. Point is, Faramir is, for one, uncertain of the ring’s reliability, second, considers this method rather amoral. So what does he do with this questionable knowledge?

Summary: would like to see a Glorfindel/Eowyn pairing. No rape but other then that anything goes. rated r-nc-17. Eowyn should be a strong female none of the insecurities that usually happen when she is paired with an elf. I dont want an emo self depreciating Glorfindel either. Definatly some conflict between the two. I picture the both of them to be strong willed. How do they meet? Is it love or lust? Maybe a duel between the two but whats the wager? 1-5 chapters short attention span. put book verse but i dont care which way it goes.

Summary: I grow weary of hearing of the exploits of the elves. To be sure, they hold a special place in the history of Middle Earth, yet my heart bleeds for those races as noble who gain not the recognition they deserve. Thus I charge ye: go out and write of the lesser known races: the dwarves; the hobbits; the dragons; the balrogs; the maiar; and, indeed, the valar themselves. As token of my appreciation of this service, I shall leave lovely long reviews for all those who rise to the challenge. Now, go ye forth and write!
