News Hooray!
Thanks to the support and generosity of the wonderful community we have here, we're back and I don't believe we have to worry about shutting down now or anytime in the near future.Over the past couple of days, I've optimized the site and performed various upgrades both with the software and our hosting. Everything seems to be running smoothly, but I'm going to keep an eye on things and if we run into any future problems, I'll simply move us to a different server. Again, I'd really like to say just how much I appreciate all of you, whether you were able to contribute or not. The feedback and an incredible support so many people have shown over the past couple of days definitely reminded me what an invaluable place this has grown to be over the past six years... one I never want to lose. On one last note, I'd like to apologize if anyone was distressed by our recent issues. To be clear, I have backups of everything on this site, so stories will never be lost permanently no matter what happens. However, when it comes to anything you post on the internet that is particularly valuable to you, it's always a great idea to keep a backup copy on your local hard drive anyway. For now, let's just all breathe a huge sigh of relief. And please feel free to dive right back in and read, update and review whatever stories you like. Adora, I don't say very much on here, but I wanted to thank you so much for providing this wonderful site for all of the Lord of the Rings fans out there who love to write. LOTRFF closed down?! You could have knocked me over with a feather when I got an Email from Spiced Wine informing me of what had happened. And here I was with another chapter of my latest story nearly ready for posting! I mailed you a check anyway.

Thank the Valar that this site is back! Or rather, thank YOU, Adora. Thanksgiving night I got an e-mail about the site and when I saw your note I felt like I had been shot through the heart with a foul orc arrow. But then today I saw everything was back to normal! Thank you for all your hard work. I've been a member of this site for a year and it's become very important to me. It's been a place where I've been able to enjoy my guilty pleasure of lotr fanfic but also where I have been able to explore different writing styles by some*amazing* authors. Not to mention. its inspired me to start writing after a 6 year hiatus and I've been able to grow in my writing on this site. Thank you *SO* much for starting this site and working so hard on it. YAY! :) I am so glad that you got this site back up and working. I was so horrified when i saw that this site was suspended and now i am so delighted that's it's back. Thank you for fixing it, Adora, and i send out all my gratitude to all the members (and non members) who have helped support this site. Thank you so much for putting this site back up and keeping it working, now and over the past six years. i was gutted when i saw the closed message. this is such a special site and we want to keep it forever. i never thought of the resources going into it before now, but i will keep that in mind in future
