I love this series... it's fascinating to see how they all handle the same situation differently. I'm looking forward to reading more. :)

I liked your story not only because it was (or is :D) the first English fanfiction I've ever read but also because I've seen what I've read and I like that. I was surprised that I was able to understand nearly every word (I'm only a little German student, so please forgive my mistakes :D). Your description of the scenery is brilliant and I liked the details you show your reader. The strained relationship between the three brothers and Haldir's inner conflict is well described. Okay, I'm going to use the same words again and again 'cause the right words are missing :) As a conclusion I repeat, that I liked your story and I hope we will read some more soon... :)

Author's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed this! This is actually my favorite fic that I've written for LotR and I'm always glad when people enjoy it. I like to write this version of Haldir becase he's so different than movie Haldir, who's always either really flirty or a real grouchy and strict elf. I think he would have been more hopeful during his youth and that is how I'm trying to portray him. Tahnks for the review! -P.G.

I am so glad you started doing Orophin's point of view in this story. It was what was missing from My Brother's Keeper. Still plenty of angst, and for that I am very glad. I also like how your characters seem very real when you write about them. Get the second part of this done, because I really want to read it.

Author's Response: You know, I had never noticed that I didn't use Orophin's p.o.v. in My Brother's Keeper. Crazy, eh? He does add arnwhole different dimention to the story. I'm glad you enjoyed this. Though I'm slow at posting because of college, Irnwill be writing a large series of small fics about the brothers that all fit together. Thanks again!

I really liked your story. I'm usually not a fan of the Haldir flicks, but your writing really caught me. I'm a big fan of angst too, so that also got me reading. Did there parents really die? I hope you keep writing stories like this, and I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

Author's Response: Thanks for your review! Technically, Tolkien wrote very little about Haldir and so it is not known as to whether or notrnHaldir's parent's died. However, it is a commom backstory used in Haldir fandom, though no one ever really writes rnabout those days in his life, which really hold a lot of good, creative writing potential. Thanks again for reading!
