I *love* it. the friendship still exist even if their Masters are ennemies, and to give personal things so that your friend can get out alive is a great thing to do.

You could also call this chapter, "Vala Knows Best"!

No wonder Mairon eventually ends up running away to join The Rebellion. Who wouldn't, given that this is the best that Aulë can do to persuade him not to go?
