A great story! It's really funny - it had me laughing in front of the screen.
But it also shows Oropher's and Thranduil's character and relationship. I must say, from the way Thranduil acts, Oropher's done quite a good job as a "widowed king striving to raise his motherless child alone".
It's incredible how you change the mood from kind of romantic to hilariously funny to somber and full of earnest thinking in just one paragraph.

Author's Response: Thank you again. 'Toadie' was my first venture at writing a non-human OC. I'm glad you liked the whole story, even with naughtier behavior than we're used to seeing from elves.

And this is simply ingenious. So ingenious that I must left a comment for it :) I really, really enjoyed reading it. My favorite is, by the way, the toad and the way you wrote it :D
I also love young Thranduil and Galion and Oropher trying to be what he regards as a good father (and I think he's not too bad myself).
You're of great talent with writing! Thank you for sharing this :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I enjoyed writing this 'fluff' that was not really fluff, and I confess the toad in the chamber pot cracked me up when I was writing it. Oropher has a reputation for being not a good father. I wanted to write something different.
