So soft and sweet and bitterly tragic! ;'(
Author's Response: Ooo, I'm so glad you put it that way. That was exactly what I wanted the story to be, both soft and tragic. But I wasn't sure I had gotten it across just right. Thanks for the review!
This is . . . I have no idea how to phrase it. A few mistakes but that doesn't weaken the effect this had on me. I do hope Legolas will be reunited with Legolas for they are indeed best friends - Li
Author's Response: I hope they will be reunited to. Glad it effected you in a good way. I'm working on fixing the mistakes, I didn't see them until I had already posted. Glad they didn't lessen the effect for you! Thanks for the review!
This is a sweet fic, but I feel that a meeting in the afterlife is AU. For me, the sorrow of the final separation between Men and Elves is part of the pleasure and essential seriousness of Tolkien's world. He says of Elrond and Arwen, "bitter was their parting that should endure beyond the ends of the world." (The emphasis is mine.)
Author's Response: I see your point, and I somewhat agree, but the thought that they would be seperated forever just really made me kind of sad. I guess when I look at where it says 'beyond the ends of the world,' I kind of take that as a geographical (I don't think I spelled that right) sense, seeing as how Valinor is in a way, beyond the ends of the earth. But I see your point, and I never really thought about it that way. Thanks for your review!
