Thanks for another interesting essay. I'm going to do some internet research on Finnish mythology and folklore soon.

I'm afraid I'm guilty of using the gratuitous lightshow technique a few times in Arwen's Journey and Elven Ears, but the "special effects" were germane to the plot of each story.

Author's Response: Thank you! I am glad that you liked it. If you find that I have written something that is not correct, please remind me. I have relied mostly on Kalevala and my own memory, alongside the Tolkien's books, so some errors may hae crept in. As for the lightshow, I mostly meant writers like Salvatore or Eddings.

Author's Response: Thanks! I presently have a complete lack of ideas when it comes to fictional stories, so I thought it would be a good point to write this.
