I lived in a woodland farming community for part of my youth. Pitching in to fight the occasional brush fire during dry spells is something I'm well-acquainted with. It's only natural that the Hobbits of the Shire would face the same danger from time to time. Thanks for the interesting tale and a new perspective on Hobbit culture.
