The little poems throughout the story are lovely and add that little touch that mean so much in angst and AU stories. It helps you understand the characters and plot better. Could you tell me - I'm a little hazy - about what het is? You must think I'm a numpty, but there you go. Anyway, about your story - leaving saying the names until the end must be really difficult to do; I wish you all the best of luck on your next and present stories!

Author's Response: Het is just short for hetrosexual... M/F pairings. :) I'm really glad you liked it, it was something different for me and I had fun with it!

As I read this I felt anticipation. I actually skipped to the end to see who this story concerned. The mounting anticipation really kept me hanging on every word.

I have considered how convienant it was for Celebrian to marry Elrond and thus uniting the two elven realms. I've often found that a bit of a flaw.

So it was refreshing to imagine that for a moment she had another lover and that the whole affair was extremely complicated. I really liked your take and the poetic flow of the piece.

Thanks for sharing :)

Author's Response: Thank you for such a lovely review. :) It was slightly tricky to avoid names the whole fic! It seemed odd to me too, especially considering her apparant ease at leaving her family. It makes you want to think of 'what ifs'! Thanks again, glad you liked it. :)

A poignant and beautifully told little story.

I read very little het, ( too many years guiltily OD-ing on torrid bodice-rippers XD ) but I'm trying one story myself as het - and finding it hard ( too many years writing torrid bodice-rippers, LOL! ) But I must say I liked this very much; delicate, sad and yes, surprising indeed.

Author's Response: Thanks! The perils of rpg - it puts all sorts of strange pairings in your mind! (Which is why I have Celegorm/Orophin lurking on my PC as well... lol) I enjoyed writing this, I think it helped to use a canon female though. I'm currently trying to write Erestor/OFC and that's much harder. I'm glad you liked it. :)
