This certainly sounds like an interesting 'what if' story. I have no objections to it being AU, (I think it is,) and it is a very good starting chapter. The writing is very interesting to read and you have introduced the characters well. You have a distinct writing stlye and the cliffhanger at the end leaves an air of mystery. I hope you continue with this story and I take my hat off to you for attempting, and doing a good job of, writing this. Bravo!

Author's Response: Thanks. This is my first review. Yep, it is a sort of AU. I mean, the elves will come in, and maybe Boromir, since I like him. I'm working on the story, but this is really helpful and inspiring.
