Yes, I think these Elves might prefer to stay in the world they knew, among their loved ones This would seem almost sacrilegious to the Eldar (like Tínen), and Tolkien's stories are of course told from their POV. However, I think Illuvatar might have approved of the Wood-elf's choice. (PS: I see I accidentally forgot to tick the box 'Completed' when first submitting the ficlet. It's fixed now.)
