An interesting and compelling story. It is good, and nice at explaining the growing friendship between Legolas and Gimli. If this were written by Tolkien's hand in the books, then it would answer several of my questions. Well done, for it is certainly good enough to be part of the books. Author's Response: Thank you so much for the review. I'm thrilled you liked this glimpse of the growing friendship between elf and dwarf, though I have to credit Nieriel Raina with that. In her beta reads, she noted that I hadn't paid enough attention to the fact that this is early in the friendship, so that aspect of the story is one of her contributions. And I'm glad she caught it.
