This is terribly sad.
Her vision of Celebrimbor's death is savage - you should write angst and dark-fic, you have a talent for it, and the Silmarillion is really XXX rated angst-tragedy-dark-fic, just written from a very distant third-person perspective.
Definitely keep on writing Elder Days fic, if the Muse bites.
Author's Response: Thank you for the comment Spiced Wine! I think you're right about the angst and dark-fic genra. I've always been drawn to reading it, and writing it comes the most naturally to me, I'll deffinatly have to try my hand at more.
And Elder Days as a definite yes! There are so many stories there, I have several floating around in my head now! I've really been aching to write a Aegnor/ Andreth fic, but we'll see. I may have to wait awhile until I'm a more experienced writer :( I really wish Tolkien had written more about them. They seem like the ultimate doomed love story to me. Luthien and Beren seem positively sunshine and roses compared to them. But of course there are so many stories left unfinished, but that's what makes writing Tolkien fan fiction so beautiful and enthralling.
Ah, well we'll see what happens... but thank you again for the review!
