No!!! A cliff-hanger! You write so beautifully, the broken hopefulness of Legolas' character at the end of this chapter is so heartbreakingly gripping - I can't imagine Haldir's reaction to everything that has happened to Legolas. And to think he had waited for a special time for their bonding...

So, this story caught my eye and I decided to read it all in one shot! I really enjoy the characterization of Haldir (it is not often you come across a gentle, soft-spoken Marchwarden!).

Lavalir, your story was one of the first I came across when I found this site. I was happy to find that it has been updated.

No, it doesn't seem unrealistic to me that Legolas and Haldir would fall in love so quickly. They are elves and won't be exactly like humans. It was neat when Orophin predicted their relationship.

Author's Response: Hi Sylvan! :) It's an honor that my fic was one of the first that you've read on this site! I'm glad also that you find their relationship realistic (where elves are concerned!) I'm normal slowly build relationships between human characters in my other writings, so this part of the story worried me a little. I'm planning on having the next update perhaps...next week? It's breaking my "one chapter a week" rule but with school starting and trying to finish up my kink_bingo, this got pushed just a little. So glad that you're enjoying this!
