In answer to your Chapter Notes:....maybe Gimli likes to frame the jewels on his walls and then reveal them dramatically to guests? For this I recommend heavy red velvet drapes with gold trimmings :D And good gosh Snape is going to have a heart attack with all the colour in this room!
