This is why I love your work so much. You think outside of the box. Absolutely beautiful piece and I love the Entwives theme. No one ever writes about them. Clever how you told their story, using Legolas and the message for him to remember. This whole piece was absolutely lovely. The wording flows. The descriptions are very clear. And can I just say it made my heart sing to see Thranduil and Vanime so content. Don't get discouraged that you did not win. I think you were definitely in the running with this story. Again, a job very well done.

Author's Response: Thanks Moe. I appreciate your reviews as they help me to grow and be more succesful. Yes, I truly take the path less/not trodden, and while readers prefer conventional stories, I like to explore the areas that are gray. I'd always wondered what happened to the Entwives, and this was my way of explaining it. I think that after the Third Age Middle-Earth became a less fantastic place. I wanted to lend an air of bitter-sweetness to it, a nostalgic romanticism one might say. As you said no one writes about them. I am pleased that my descriptions and wording were clear; personally I think the narrative Fimbrethil gives is the best part of the story. Again, I appreciate your thoughts and comments.

Good job, keep up the good work!

Author's Response: Thank you :) While I was not one of the winners I thoroughly enjoyed writing this piece. I always wondered what happened to the Entwives, and the little bit of romantic in me refused to let them die.
