I really enjoyed this, Lisse. Very sensual with lots of great details, sounds and sights, acorns plinking and Lirit's ruddy cheeks and robe falling open. I'm glad he showed up to help make Legolas feel relaxed. Also enjoyed Legolas' musing about the meeting on the next day.
Author's Response: Thank you so very much for taking the time to read my scribbling. I can see things I would change about this, and I will. Hopefully it will be much better by the time I post on Faerie. I found your writing on the word of a writer who oddly enough never reviewed you. It was one of the best referrals ever. Your writing has influenced and affected me deeply. I truly love it. Like so many of life’s finest experiences your writing is a feast of varied flavors when first experienced, and just as much a joy to remember all the nuances later. Someone once told me God gives us gifts for the benefit of others not necessarily ourselves. Your gift of writing has been a treasured gift to me.
Oh, I can live with red-haired Legolas - have you seen Spiced Wine's pictures of Coldagnir? Hmmm. I was just intrigued at 'ginger'. I am even more intrigued that Elrond will not be pleased- his servants seem more than determined to 'serve'!! As I said though, this really works and it's been a while since i read such a nicely written and light fic of this nature and at this point of the story.
Author's Response: Coldagnir is beautiful. I do like a red-haired elf so I think I will actually go with that. L8 can tell you I am always begging her to write a red-head for me. I love a little light hearted smut. Of course I adore your dramatic longer works and the humor you have writen into it and into your shorter works. The kind words of friends like the two of you make me want to go on and try harder.
Oh my. Nothing to criticise here, girl! Lovely and tantalising. I have to say I thought Elrond would keep sending different people until he had ot coem himself! But this is very nice. You write a darned good Legolas. (ginger hair??!)
Author's Response: OMG! My neighbor has a tiger cat who looks gold yellow to me. She called his colouring ginger. I googled ginger hair images after getting your review. I’ll go back and change that. Somehow Legolas with red hair works for me even though I described him that way out of ignorance. Still I know not everyone likes red hair and Legolas is described as “fair” in canon. If Elrond knew what sort of welcome Lirit was giving Legolas he would not be pleased, as I hope to tell. Perhaps Elrond would like to be in Lirit’s place, but Legolas has other plans. Thank you for your review. I was pleasantly surprised! You are too kind Ziggy!
Don't get excited. It's just me. This is truly one of your best works. I know how hard you have worked on it and it really shows. Your writing has come such a long way since we met and it's always a joy to read. You've managed to do something that no other slash writer has done ... make this het girl hot over Legolas with another male. You know he's my fav and it's hard for me to see him as anything but het. The end of this was definitely sexy and I like how you have portrayed Legolas as the aggressor. Lucky Lirit!!
Author's Response: Wow who could ask for more than to be able to flip a het writer's slash switch to on. Thank you for your unconditional love and support and for helping me so much in so many ways.
