*Standing and applauding wildly!*
I love your "horsey" details! Might be because I'm a bit of a equine freak myself. :)
I'm glad I finally took the time to sit down and read this, it's wonderful. I laughed so hard it hurt when Nicole's stirrup fell off! It is permissable to laugh at something if it's happened to you.(I read that somewhere.)
I like the teasing between Viggo and Karl, it's easy to picture. And when Viggo told Nicole, "I hope they hate him"..that was very sweet.
I retrained a big, young racetrack reject and when he was resold it dang near broke my heart! :(
Wonderful story! Off to read part two.
BTW, my eyes didn't glaze over.
Author's Response: Oh gosh! the stirrup thing has happened to me too! And I used to school horses for people and sell on behalf, it breaks your heart to see the ones you loved go.
Wow! Short? It's well over 2000 words! ;) I disagree that nothing happens in this chapter, it's setting up the action for what happens next, which is important in any story. You'll see. ;) Thanks for being such a dedicated reader and reviewer. :)
