This is awesome. Many people don't exactly tend to write from Elrond's narrating views, so this was a new kind of story (for me, anyways).

Author's Response: *blushes* Thank you very much. I hope that you continue to read and enjoy it! I chose to use the narrative view points of Elrond and Lindir for functional reasons: (1) they're main characters; (2) they're kept in the dark, which is how I want my readers; and (3) I don't have the foggiest idea of how to convey the story from some of the other characters' POVs, e.g. Gil-galad (yet to appear).
