pretty, but I thought that becomeing an elf-friend was just like someone saying "you, elf-friend"?

Author's Response: Thanks, Wyn, for the review! As for "Elf-friends", it's pretty clear not every nice person got that distinction, but no, there's no ritual in cannon. It was just an exercise in descriptive writing that I tried.
