The story is very dark, especially the history of Merry and Pippin, that is only hinted at. But I think you convey well the dark and oppressive atmosphere Denethor's rule cast over the city.
And I guess Aragorn has much work to do, to change this.
Author's Response: thanks! I never accept 'happily ever after', even if it does blow off the fairy dust a little; it just seems that becoming the great king would be the beginning, not the end. If you read other fandoms, I'm also gythia on fanfiction.net if you'd like to read B5, SW, and other stuff of mine.
I skipped the slashy parts of this story as I don't like slash, but I enjoyed your Aragorn and Faramir scene very much and thought you made a very good point that a King has to watch what he says.
Author's Response: Thanks Linda! I'm so glad you liked the Aragorn and Faramir parts, as you probably know your stories greatly influenced my portrayal of their relationship.
