Author's Chapter Notes:
*Sob* *sniffle* *blow nose*
I have lost my love, my one true love
Why should I stay here now
The suns glory is but darkness to me
And weariness lies upon my brow

The moon does not hold mystery to me
How could I think of mystery now
From this hour there shall be no delight for me
Yes ‘tis true, I am fading now

I have lost my love, my one true love
How short seems happiness to me
My eyes behold only shadows
I whisper “I wish only to see thee”

Good food is but bitter dust in my mouth
And the finest wine is nothing
Ah how foolish little things seem now
I would forgive all if he but held me

I have lost my love, my one true love
See my sweet voice is weakening
I cannot sustain my life for long
Now that he is not beside me

Give my daughter a kiss for me
And tell her that I love her yet
But her fathers death has broken me
So I may not see her for I am dead

I have lost my love, my one true love
I am too tired for anguished sobs
I wish only to go to my dear love
Mandos, fate, wilt thou hear me?
