I am 42 years old. There, that's my age statement.
There seems to be a problem with the series page on this site, or it may just be something peculiar to my browsing experience, but all three books are still a part of Typically Atypical. Don't know what's going on, but when I look at the page, all I get are Books One and Three and the summaries are both in bold text. Oh well.
Tuesday, 22 July 2008:
I'd like to make a request of any artists who are reading my stories. I have absolutely no artistic talent (unless you consider writing an art and believe I'm have a talent for it) and I would like to see how what I have written looks in the reader's mind. If anyone is interested in drawing, sketching, or painting anything unique to my stories, I'd love
to see it.
Tuesday, 18 August, 2009:
I am currently editing Typically Atypical, Book Three. Some of the changes should be readily apparent, such as removal of superfluous Chapter and End Notes and placing alternate titles in the Chapter Notes to keep the chapter title bar from going off into eternity on some browsers. Some of the changes are not as apparent, for one, I have changed the timeline of the coming Battle of Castle Amlug. In a dream sequence, Elaura indicates the battle will take place less than five years after the destruction of the ring. I found this to be too soon and changed it to *ten* years. Continuity should not be affected.
Other changes were minor, such as making capitalization and grammar a bit more consistent and fixing typos. Please continue to let me know if you spot any errors I've missed.
If the site setup permits, I hope to eventually do a minor format change to Books One and Two and break Book Three into volumes.
08 May 2010 - Good Lord! I can't believe it's been so long. Let me start by saying I recently met a man, fell in love, and got married. What does this mean to my writing? It means good things. Oddly enough, I got stuck when it came to writing about married couples. My only personal experience with marriage when I started writing about it wasn't good. Now, I feel I am better prepared to write about this subject. Without spoiling anything for anyone, I will say that I am still alive, still here, and intend to resume posting very soon. I won't promise a date, but I will finish Book 3 and continue on with the story. I am deeply sorry for being away so long and I promise to answer my reviews soon as well. Hope everyone else is enjoying life as much as I am. See you soon!
22 October 2010 Ė Oh dear, it looks like I was a bit too optimistic about my time frames. I think Iím going to stop making promises I canít be sure I can fulfill. I am still happily married, but my husband doesnít know me as an author. There may be some static when I really get back into writing as he is unused to me locking myself away at all hours of the day and night to get it out of my head.
In addition, I now have a laptop computer rather than a desktop. I did save my custom dictionary and auto-replace databases, but Iím having to get used to a new version of Microsoft Office.
There are always new things popping up in oneís life to interfere, but I wonít bore you with a great long list. What Iím trying to say is, as soon as I can get to a quiet place in my life, both physically and mentally, I will finish Book 3 and continue Typical Atypical.
Thank you for reading.
