Hello! My name's Esme and I live in the wonderful UK. I've been writing fanfictions for about a year and a half now- having discovered Lord of the Rings just under a year ago- starting off with Harry Potter, (which was a minor fail.) I just couldn't get into it, or my stories, as I wasn't as passionate about Harry Potter as I am about Tolkien.

So, I began an epic search for Tolkien fanfiction sites. First I found Stories of Arda, and then Lord of the Rings Fanfiction. Then I begun writing LotR fanfictions. It quickly became a hobby of mine, and I gradually became addicted.

After some awkward discussions with my Mother, who was concerned about my computer-usage, I managed to explain the term "fanfiction" to her. (She still doesn't understand, but doesn't pester me as much.)And so here I am. :)

I read my first Tolkien book at age six, The Hobbit, and loved it. I started reading The Fellowship of the Ring at age seven, but quickly abandoned it. (What an idiot I was.) I tried again last April, and loved it. I quickly finished the trilogy, and moved onto Unfinished Tales and The Silmarillion- which I poured over. Thus, Tolkien became my idol, and I became an adoring fan.

As well as a writer of fanfictions, I am also-
- A published poet
- A keen RP'er
- An amateur astronomer
- A work obsessive...
- And an Enting! (a Junior member of the Tolkien Society- thanks to my amazing friend.)

I'm also the awesome person who's literally ALWAYS on, though this is only because I often forget where the "Sign Out" button is...
