*howls* Okay, at first I thought Aragorn was the best with his defiance--fiancee and only love! Then Legolas beat him out with his matter-of-fact might as well get it over with, but now I am convinced that nothing can surpass Gimli's "If others feel no need to explain their plot devices, why should I?" That was simply priceless. Beautiful parody here, simply beautiful. A Mary-Sue who's not a Mary-Sue; what could be better? Especially with them quite convinced she is one. Aurora Silverflame--"all I need to know." Their resigned, "been there, done that" attitudes are highly entertaining, as is her confusion. I eagerly await the next amusing, mocking installment!

Title: Chapter 1: The Bitter Taste of Immortality Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
ooh...that's really cool! Poor Arwen...very poignant and sorrowfully written. Might want to fix "and of her spouse, Éowyn," however. Unless there's something about Aragorn we don't know. ;) I like how you worked in Arwen's visions. I'm torn, though; on one hand, I think it's the perfect length and adding anything would dillute its potency. On the other, I'm jumping up and down yelling "me want more" as if I were a kid in a candy store. But I suppose that's a sign of a good short story; when your reader leaves perfectly satisfied and yet still greedy you know you have a good one.

Hee hee! Very nice, very nice. I'm sure it was the best--and certainly sweetest!--the poor old Watcher has had in ages. And I'll bet the Fellowship is thinking of that slimy tentacled creature far more fondly now...lol Very nice poem. Entertaining and well written. Seventh stanza, though, do you mean "with insanity lost" or "with sanity lost"? Just checking, just in case... Anyway, excellent little bit of "Lay of Mary's End" from you! Loved the phrasing. Good job!

Author's Response: Thanks! : ) In the seventh stanza, I meant sanity lost. :) I'll have to check to make sure I wrote that the right way . :)

Title: Chapter 22: Forgiveness Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
What a well done story! If you hadn't dragged me in so that it's a cursed unhappy hour of the night--morning, now--I'm sure I'd be able to say more, but let me try and leave at least a cursory review. Well, very in depth it was, and your characterizations were wonderous. The changes they all went through were marvellous to see, and very expertly done. Such a detailed, in depth, and well thought out story; it was a delight to read. And about Hobbits, no less! I've never paid much mind to "Shire stories" but this is written, at least to my mind, on a professional level. Expertly crafted, and a joy to read. Thank you for sharing your talent!

Author's Response: *Wags tail fiercely!* It was a labor of love and quite a lot of work so I am very happy that you read and enjoyed it. Many haven\'t the patience for such a long story, Shire tale or not, and it is a testament to you that you did. Thank you so very much for your review - even written in the wee hours, it is a joy to see!

Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Wow. Fitting that many characters into one story is impressive enough, but this looks to be a verrry eeenteresting start to that little challenge. Heh, not only do you send a "real" girl, but you pick one who hasn't read the books. Very nice and evil, dearie. Excellent descriptions, I look forward to your visuals of Middle-earth. Claudia looks like she'll be a lot of fun. Good job, good luck!

Author's Response: Tath, you know how much I love being teh ev0l, *grin* I'm glad that you liked the beginning. Hopefully, I won't let you down as the story continues.

Hee hee hee! Cam, you slay me...poor, poor Elrond...and the poor Non-Tenth. Although really, I suppose that you could always consider it balancing-out for Gandalf being so inconsiderate to fall down that abyss...that way there was still nine. Um, although with Boromir being dead and all...there was still nine once Gandalf came back...okay, okay, I'm grasping, but really, I'd rather not have Elrond's Death Glare(tm) turned my way, you know? Beautiful little piece!

Title: Chapter 1: Part One Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Oh gods, I adore your writing style. It's an absolute delight. As is your Erestor. And you arguing kings. And your...you know what, I just adore the whole bloody cast. Oh, intriguing bits with Melkor, too, lots of fun. But my favorite part of this story has to be the subtle lacings of sarcastic, wry humor that flit about to catch the reader off guard with sudden amusement. It's a true tresure to read.

Only one thing I might change, and that's to separate your parts a bit more. If one didn't know for certain that they would have ample time to devote to reading the story, it would be quite the pain to try and mark a place to come back to later. However, the story itself? Wonderful!

I love your characters. At first it seemed you might have chosen a few too many, at least for not breaking up the introductions with something, but after reading all of them, I changed my mind most decidedly. They're absolutely brilliant and I already adore all of them. I can't wait to see what you have them do.

Title: Chapter 17: The Coming Night Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Oh gods above, this can't be unfinished! (Not that I'm one to talk. But still!) I'm absolutely enraptured, and coming from someone inherently distrustful of cross-over fics, that's saying quite a bit. But you, my dear, are a perfectly marvelous writer. Your characters are amazing, and you pulled off the incredulous plot devices so well I didn't even flinch at zombie Elves. Well okay, so I did quite a bit more than flinch, but it wasn't because I didn't buy it. You even found a way to make them all converse without all being able to speak the same language--which is an excellent touch, by the way. Basically, what my babbling is leading up to is, this is an amazing work and I really, really hope you update more regularly than I do because I eagerly await the rest! Very, very eagerly. Very. Hint, hint; nudge, nudge and all that...

Author's Response: AH-HA! It was you, you who wrote \"MarySue in Fangorn\"! I loved that spoof, totally rocked. Without any arrogance I can safely garuntee that you will love what I have in store. Totally flattered, complete psyched to write, ta.

Oh, I quite like it. Your character development of all three of them is truly delightful. I'm still not sure what to make of Kestral, but amusing she most definately is! A mute elf-maid prisoner...very intriguing idea. And amnesiac, to boot! I love it, I can't wait to find out what both her past and future hold. However, you need to work more on the mechanics of writing, misplaced commas especially, but the words themselves are usually well chosen and arranged. All you need is a bit of technical practice. I quite like the style it's written in, and you have a good balance of details, horrors, and humor. Very nicely done indeed.

Oh, that's a conversation that's bound to go well... Whatever secrest Erestor knows, I can't wait to see Glorfindel's reaction. That should be just lovely. I'm also quite fond at how you depict him as being annoyed at thinking about her. It's such a delightful way of saying-without-saying. Very nice chapter, as ever. Love the irony of timing.

Wow, really good. Not generally my cup of tea per se (ick, romance! lol) but you wrote it very beautifully and made me care about the lovers even in a short time. You have a lovely way with words, too, even in a first person retrospective narrative, which ought to be a death knell for such eloquence. It's like a letter, but what a letter! Very prettily written indeed.

Author's Response: Thank you, thank you so much. It makes me very happy to hear that you were touched by this story, especially since romance is not your cup of tea (it isn\'t mine either, I\'m quite partial to smut, actually). This particular writing style is actually my favorite one and the one which flows the easiest, though everyone who has read this story tells me that must be difficult to nail. Thank you, again, for the wonderful, encouraging words and for taking the time to read my story.

Okay, I just have to say, I nearly died when I read "it could be seagulls." Seriously. Took me a while to find the composure to continue. This is truly brilliant. Frightening and bizarre and deeply, deeply troublesome on a seriously-questioning-my-sanity level, yet brilliant.

Author's Response: Thanks for reading and reviewing. I have the deepest admiration for the writing of "Once More, With Feeling": I wish I could be 15% as funny.
