Title: Chapter 1: Called Home Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Excellent! I don't think I've ever thought what it must have been like for Faramir before; I loved your version of it! I don't think I'll ever be able to picture it differently, your story was so vivid! I loved the depth of emotion you conveyed and everything you told about his family. Very well-written, very good choice of what to write on!

Title: Chapter 1: Chapter 1 Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
*snicker* that was, those two are going to drive the entire party straight to...somewhere, aren't they? *evil laugh* Good writing, nice biting sense of humor! Gler and Lind are just trouble incarnate, I can tell already! I'm sure this fic's going strange

Author's Response: Hehehe. Strange places indeed! lol

Title: Chapter 2: chapter 2 Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Interesting places as in into the closet? Seems to me that in the closet is the last place for these three! *snigger*

Author's Response: heheheh glad you liked that. The next chapter is they start getting more daring.

Title: Chapter 1: The Ring Speaks! Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Oh, that was priceless! The Ring's seduction versus Mary Sue's! This was absolutely amazing, I'm still snickering! I'd list some of my favorite lines, but I'm afraid I'd end up putting half the story in here. Really, truly spectacular job! Ah, the Ring...who knew it could be so FUNNY? Oh man, that was just too much...pretty...except for Boromir...Me! HA!

Author's Response: Thank you! I imaged it would be pretty angry and lash out if it could! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Title: Chapter 1: Precious Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Can we all say STALKER? Time to get a restraining order, Frodo! Seriously, though, very creepily well-done. Gave me a nice little shiver when I finished it! Definately award-worthy. Crow, I must be evil. I just chuckled. A sadistic, creepy, evil chuckle--inspired by this, so it's your fault. Well, okay, I was evil before this, but that doesn't mean that this wasn't! Beautiful! a dark, shivery, freaky way, that is. Great insight, into both the Ring and Frodo. The darkness that freezes your soul...the madness is taking you...excellent lines! And ending with "Your Precious" was inspired and a nice wink at the audience. I love it. I must be a bad person. But I really, really enjoyed this! :)

Title: Chapter 1: Across Deeper Waters Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Wow...that was amazing. Your writing was so beautiful! It nearly brought tears to my eyes. You're right; there really isn't enough about Galadriel and Celebrian. I'm glad you thought to start filling in the gap; you did it spectacuarly. I could feel every drop of Galadriel's sorrow and pain as her daughter was lost to the Sea. The details of nature and emotion were so marvellously evident, and so elvishly real. This was lovely!

Title: Chapter 2: Fornost Erain Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Ooh, intriguing...this is getting off to an excellent start! And the beginning of this chapter had such beautiful loss, as well! Poor Rangers--secretive they may be, but when it comes to outright deception...! This was such a lovely chapter, so elegantly dark.

Title: Chapter 8: Commonfolk Of The Lost Realm Reviewer: Tathrin Signed

Title: Chapter 9: A Legend Of The Lost Realm Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Wiggle all you want! This is a great fic, and highly detailed too! If you want to mess with a few details in order to create such a fleshed out, expansive look at the Dunedain, go right ahead--we won't stop you, we'll sit in awe and go "wow" on cue! ;)

Title: Chapter 14: More Twins Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Oh gods, the (elven) twins! *snicker* Always fun! I really like the idea of denying the heirs because of their elvish heritage. That's an interesting premise, and a very possible one. Great thought; it really adds depth to the story, especially with how Aragorn ends up being named Elfstone by Gondor when they finally accept Isildur's Heir at long last. That's really food for thought! This is such a well-thought-out fic, with such attention to detail! It's wonderful!

Title: Chapter 15: Dinner Conversation Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
That was a really interesting conversation there at the end. "Men change"--wow. Very nice explanation of who they trust and why. You keep building up the layers of the Dunadain so eloquently!

Title: Chapter 22: Minas Tirith At Last Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
I really like the parallels between Ecthelion and Denethor and Denethor and Faramir. Very subtle, but very powerful. And the scene with Aragorn was much the same; I look forward to seeing how you take this.

Title: Chapter 26: The Departure Of Thorongil Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
That was a really excellent story. The level of detail and history you captured was amazing. This really expanded beautifully upon both the Northern Rangers and upon Gondor. The story truly felt like an addition to Tolkien's work, it meshed so well and fleshed out so much. It's clear you put a lot of thought into this, and it was very worthwhile. An excellent read, both for the sake of the story itself and for the background it gives. Brilliant work!

Title: Chapter 1: Like Sand in my Hand Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Very nice insight on Eowyn's thoughts. The writing style was very poetic and beautiful, full of both imagery and despair. Very eloquent. I think you captured Eowyn well. The way the lines flowed and tied into one another was very enjoyable. The pictures they conjured were vivid and emotional. You have a talent for setting a mood and telling a story about it.

Author's Response: Thank you ! I really like to work on Eowyn's character and her decision is a key moment in RotK. And I'm very glad you liked the style, as English is not my native language. Thanks again !

Wow! Not your native language? Well, you're more than fluent! I'm even more impressed now! *claps loudly* I can't believe that you could achieve this level of poetic eloquence in another language! Major kudos!

Title: Chapter 1: The Gift of Healing Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Very interesting. Nice insight onto a part of a culture not given much attention, but still vital. You only lost me once, with "The éored had no decorum in these clouded times I'm just not sure what that's in reference to. It might be no more than that I've just finished typing a research paper and my brain is shot, but I couldn't figure that one out. Anyway, I like the way you tied Eowyn into this. Showing her aiding with the healers like that now helps to ease the transition later. Hidegard is an interesting character sketch. Might we see more of her in other stories? Anyway, I like the rituals you invented for the healers. It seems to harken back to far-distant roots that the Rohirrim have forgotten. Nicely written.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it Tathrin ! It's actually one of my favorite pieces of writing. Concerning the sentence that seemed confusing, I meant that the éored was not a superficial thing in these times. My French had likely interfered lol! I surely hope to use Hildeguard's character in other stories, though I dunno in what context yet. For the healers' rituals, I was inspired by ancient magic and wicca which are really close to nature. Thanks for your review !

Title: Chapter 1: Ashes Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Pretty cool look at the Shadow on Merry. I particuarly liked the descriptive mood of the first stanza. I think that really captured the feel of the scene. The closing line was lovely as well; the perfect illustration of what it must feel like lying under the Black Breath. Very nice.

Author's Response: Glad you liked it ! The Witch-King scene is one of my favourite and I tried to give power to Merry's despair in this short poem. Writing poetry in English is really great ;) Thanks for reviewing !

Title: Chapter 1: There is Hope Reviewer: Tathrin Signed
Aw, little Legolas was so cute and boisterous, the very essence of innocence. It was very appropriate that he was the one to notice the lone flower that everyone else missed. It implies that more than the flower, it is Legolas who is Thranduil's reason to keep hoping. Very nicely done! Of course, I twitch every time I see "okay" in a Lord of the Rings fic, but aside from my minor convulsion there I really enjoyed it. Very brief and simple with a powerful ending.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, Tathrin. I really appreciate your kind words in the review you submitted. It really makes my day when a kind review is left, and I appreciate your response to my vignette.
