I enjoy writing poetry and reading. I'm currently halfway through the first Book of Lost Tales and will soon get started on the second one. I'm not sure if I shall post anything on this website, but I will certainly review.

Well... I've just finished with the entirety of Suedom. It's really truly wonderful! It even made me cry at one point! That's the part that shocked me, actually. Usually, even moving stories/movies/worksofart will make me almost-cry, which means my eyes fill with tears, but not much more than that. Suedom actually made me cry. Shocking.

At any rate, I'd really love for you to continue so that I may read more Suedom! ^_^

P.S. I'm not sure if the html things actually work on this website. So if they piss you off... please forgive me and Andy and Saphie! *bow*

Summary: Perky, but rather airy-headed, Emily loves LotR, everything about it, especially the good-looking actors. So when the ghost of Mr. Tolkien, angry because she is messing up her story by her Mary Sues, sends her to Middle-Earth to see what it is REALLY like, Emily is fascinated. The Fellowship: even better. But innocent Emily is unaware what Middle-Earth is really like, despite her daydreams. Despite her Mary Sues, her imagination, her fanfiction, her life. Meanwhile, squabbling twins Alan and Alanna also happen to land not so far away from the (doomed) Fellowship, where Alanna is the history professor and Alan, the annoying jerk. Two Ringer girls' and one unwilling brother's lives are about to flip inside out.... And one will discover that actors aren't all.

Author's Response: Thanks for reading! You\'ll see more of Alan and Alanna (and probably you-know-who, Emily) soon.

*starts getting tugged away by the trio* Okay! Geez...

Summary: The title says it all. I need to give my cousin, Lisa credit. She helped me put this together.

That is the only response this requires. I think you'll understand.

Author's Response: I do understand. Thanks for your review! ^__^

This is a lovely poem. There are some spelling errors that disrupted my reading of it, but nevertheless it evokes perfectly the longing of the Fair Folk for the Sea.

Author's Response: I am sorry for any spelling errors, i do not have the luxury of a spell-check programme.

Summary: For anybody else who has ever felt that they need to hide their fanfic habit. Rated PG for one instance of bad language.

Agreed! I am in complete agreement here.

Your take on Mary Sues is fascinating to me and I can see where you're coming from. Doesn't stop me from enjoying the mocking of Sues (though not of Suethors, never that), but I can definitely see where Mary Sues can be fulfilling a need of some sort in people's lives. I've certainly written my fair share of Mary Sues at that age (though I confined them to my roleplays).

At any rate, thank you so much for posting such a well-thought-through and well-written defense of fanfiction. Kudos.

Author's Response: Actually my take on Mary Sue was influenced heavily by the wonderful and wise SpicedWine - I think my strong dislike of them was down to the knowledge that I'd written them myself :P and you're welcome, thanks for reading!
