I normally don't read Celebrian stories. They're not normally good. But this one really touched me. The distance, the inherent, prideful grief. The senseless selfish feeling of wanting to cling to something that so deeply wants to leave. The irreversible damage it would cause to lose a partner of this magnitude...

I cried.

I certainly don't read songfics because they're usually so clumy, but the lyrics just fit in, like a softly-played soundtrack to his sorrow.

Lovely. Definitely the best Celebrian fic I've ever read, probably even the best female-centric LOTR fic.
