very nice! i love all the details you pulled in and the character you gave legolas. i love it!
i first read this story on fanfiction.net, and i loved it then and love it now! so well-written, and i love the way you've combined the stories! please post the sequel soon!
*sniff* sweet and very touching! i love stories - like this one - that portray great love without being slash. very well done!
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it. I like these kinds of stories, too. I don't care for slash, but as you say, you can portray great love without that being the case. Thanks you!
so cute! in such a short story, you made me want to hug estel and take him home with me! very sweet!
awesome, truly awesome! i'm currently rereading the silmarillion and agree with your other reviewers: your style is very similar to that! amazing writing!
Author's Response: Thank you so very much! I'm just a cheap imitator when it comes to his writing. Hmmm now you make me want to go read the Sil again. LoL!
Thank you again. *Hugs*
just wanted to say i just discovered this story and am really enjoying it; keep going, please!
and a little note: the pronounciation you gave for "aieriel" was incorrect. in elvish, it would be "aye-air-ee-ell". if you wanted it to be "eye-eer-aye-ell"(the pronounciation you gave) it would be "ai-iraiel" or something like that. i'm not saying you need to change it or anything - if you wanted it that way, it's your story and you can do what you want - just wanted to point that out. :)
great story and great writing! *applauds*
Author's Response: I'm glad you're enjoying it. And yes, I agree with you on that point. Even I have trouble pronouncing it now, especially after delving into some studies of Sindarin and Tengwar and such. I often have to remind myself that I am but a baby in the Tolkien world, for many of the great writers on this site are twice my age ;)
Thank you very much! -Whisper
i looooove it! eol has always intrigued me and i enjoyed this portrayal of him. i'm also a fan of eol and maeglin ;-)
Author's Response: Sorry it's taken me so long to reply! Yay, someone else who likes Eol and Maeglin! =D I'm glad that you liked it. Thank you for taking the time to review!
very powerful writing! i love the depth you've given the character of gil-galad.
Author's Response: Oh gods, sorry it took me so long to respond :( I really wish the site sent a message when one gets a review so one knows.
Thank-you so much for the review :D I am SO glad to hear you liked it! A story on Gil-galad's death had been itching about in my head for sometime. He really is a far to ignored character, and I am happy to hear you liked my portrayal of him :D
breath-takingly beautiful! i love the way you've portrayed cirdan's relationship with the sea.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I could never do Cirdan justice, but he's fun to write and such an interesting character.
Thank you again for reading!
short and sweet! very well done!
aw such a sweet and sad story! a couple things i would say as concrit would be to keep working on "in-between" things; the story seemed to jump around alot. it needed some transition sentences. also, the word "okay" wouldn't have existed in lotr, so i would put "fine" or "alright" instead. other than those few things, though, it was very enjoyable!
Author's Response: Thanks. This was my first fan fic and why I did not edit it after I dunno :-/
I appreciate your critique.

mmm this is lovely! my favorite line is: "Eru wastes not his workmanship, nor allows his children to." everyone who has ever doubted his purpose in life should read this!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the kind review. I do believe the good we do is eternal somehow, and that there is a lasting purpose behind this mess called life! Thanks again.
i love that you've portrayed a conversation between two characters who never seem to talk to each other otherwise! very well done!
Author's Response: I know in the movies, it hardly seemed that Legolas and Frodo even knew each other, much less had a conversation. I wanted to remedy that in my own little way. Thank you for loving it.
please keep going! i'm really interested in this; there are far too few legolas/arwen fics. ;-D
Author's Response: I'm glad you like it. I agree, the world needs more Arwen/Legolas :)
