I very much enjoyed this story so far. It was written well, and portrayed the characters in line with how Tolkien wrote them. I hope you will continue this story soon :)
Well, we've reached the end of your epic story. Truly, I've enjoyed it so much. I never knew how it was going to turn out. Your use of dialogue and emotion are fantastic. There were times that I felt as though everything was all light and happy, and others were I where I reduced to tears (admitedly, more than once). You portrayed your characters wonderfully, and I look forward to reading your sister-story :)

Author's Response: Sorry it took me a while to respond to your review. I'm still catching up with everyone. I just read your bio and see that you are a beta. Your kind words mean a great deal to me. I have never written anything before and wasn't sure how people would respond. It has been a great experience because of readers like yourself. Thank you so much LadyConfidential, and I hope you will like the next story too. Hope it's not just beginners luck.
Nice story, and well written. It is so hard not to feel for Legolas - "The Valar seem to have a malicious sense of humor." That line appears to sum it up. I wouldn't mind to see more of this, but that is your own decision. It is still quite a good oneshot.
Author's Response: thanks so much for the review! i'm glad i was able to evoke some emotion; that's what i was trying to do! and thanks for the input. i'll see if any plot bunnies show up. :)
Oh dear! The drama continues... Here's hoping that the flower is found before their child is born and she fades away!
Author's Response: Nice to see you here on LOTRFanFic. All this while we have been connecting through fanfiction.net lol. the flower will be found but will it be on time? who knows? hehehe...thanks for the review
I'm really liking this story thus far and am sure I'll love your next update (which I am hoping is not too far into the future!) Keep up the good work, I know everybody appreciates it :) LC
Author's Response: Thank you for your kind review. I normally do not take this long to respond or update. Vacation is over and updates will be regular again. I hope you continue to follow along. Many twists and turns to come.
Nice to see you're back - along with thw update you brought with it :)
I really liked this chapter, sad though it was. I liked Leodred, though ofcourse, I'm liking Haldir more. I hope Caladwen cheers up soon enough.
Until the next update,LC
Author's Response: Thanks LadyConfidential. It's good to be back. Caladwen is strong and she will bounce back after she's had time to grieve. She's young yet. But Haldir? Well, he's still hanging on to his stubborn ways.
I do love your frequent updates! Though sad, this chapter was hopefull, and showed more of Haldir's devotion, which I thought was nice. I cannot wait to see what awaits in Lorien :)
Author's Response: Things will definitely begin to pick up a bit once Haldir returns to his home. The Marchwarden will return. Thanks for reading.
It's good to see Caladwen back in Lorien. Haldir seems happier, though a little lost - I'm sure Caladwen will pry the truth from him sooner or later though. Teaching the elves of men is a great idea - it makes sense as they are to be the dominant ones from now on.
As always, eagerly awaiting the next installment :)
Author's Response: I wanted to give Caladwen one of Legolas' traits and since he seems to make friends easily with the different races, I gave her the ability to do the same. So I wanted that talent to grow and become her main reason for her existence, therefore she becomes a teacher and teaches the different races to understand each other better. The next chapter will be along very soon.
I really liked this chapter, the target practice being particularly interesting to read. The tension, if that is the word, between Haldir and Caladwen is wonderful. I wonder how long Haldir is able to surpress his desires...perhaps Caladwen will make the first move. I am anxious to find out. LC
Author's Response: Thanks for this. I wasn't sure how the practice scene came across. I was afraid it might be confusing, but then again I reread that part when I was very tired. Things will build up a little before anything happens. Our Marchwarden is stubborn for a reason.
Ah! I do not check for a couple of days and then I've three or four lovely chapters waiting for me! The interaction between Haldir and Caladwen is as addictive as before, and now I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy :) I love this story, and cannot wait for further updates. LC
Author's Response: Don't get too used to the fuzzy feeling. That's all I got to say about that. Glad to see you're back. I love reading your reviews. This story is taking on a life of it's own and going longer than I first thought. I try to update every day or at least every other day. Hey LC, when are you going to update your story? I want to return the favor;-)
Soon, I hope. I shall work on it this weekend. I have just been so busy as of late - I shall try!
Author's Response: Patiently waiting.
Oh dear, I had indeed wondered when Faramir's passing would be...the next chapter is not set to be a happy one. Tears will fall afresh :(
Author's Response: Don't break out the tissues just yet. If you remember from the other story, Faramir's ailment is newly discovered but he's not down and out just yet. However, there will be consequenses to this new love between Hal and Cal.
Mmm, can't wait!
By the by, on the request of both you and luthien85, I have updated. Any feedback is welcome. I only briefly proofread so don't hesitate to point out the mistakes :) LC
Author's Response: YEA! Update. Thank you... thank you... thank you.
I do love it when I am away for a while and return to find a whole bunch of lovely updates waiting for me!
I'm quite enjoying this story, and the misunderstanding concerning Eldarion makes things even more exciting! As always, I await your next chapter with anticipation. LC
Author's Response: And I appreciate the fact that you follow along and review. Thank you for supporting me and my stories. Next chapter will be up today sometime. Things are about to spice up soon as Haldir's bad boy/elf side comes out again.
Oh dear, no good will come of this! I feel for Haldir, and I share Caladwen's confusion. A great update - I hope another one will soon be forthcoming.
Author's Response: They are a pretty confused couple aren't they. Nothing comes easy. We have to fight for what we really want or it might not be there tomorrow. Next chpt soon.
Oh dear, I could almost hear Haldir's heart break as she released him from his oath. With Faramir's passing imminent, I forsee that the next chapter may be a little forlorn.
Author's Response: Yes, and I hope it is not too much of a repeat of the other story as it revisits that sad day but from Caladwen and Haldir's perspective. It's fun actually, like doing a fanfic of my own fanfic.
Well, here I am again, and let me tell you, it has taken a while to get through the updates but it was well worth it!
I pity both Haldir and Caladwen, am frustrated with them, and feel their passion also - you write them well.
I feel for, and very much like, your new characters, and although I know that Haldir and Caladwen will ultimately be together, I hope these other two are not hurt too much.
Author's Response: As far as the new characters are concerned, their true selves will make themselves known shortly. Not everything is as it seems. I am glad Hal and Cal came across for you and stirred up your emotions. Thanks for taking the time to catch up. You sound like a busy person and I appreciate your support.
Oh dear - trouble awaits them both.
It amazes me how quickly you are able to update your stories, when I never appear to have either the time or inclination!
But all the better for me - I always love your updates :)
Author's Response: To tell you the truth, I've finished the story and I post each chapter as I proof read it. I've already started on a new one. I like to have them well underway before I post them. As I go back and proof them, sometimes I make changes. I end up reading and rereading the same story quite a few times. I hope I'm not posting too quickly but I am anxious to get this one out there. Every time I check a chapter I can't wait for you all to read it. Next one will be up tomorrow.
I hope Haldir finds her soon! I wonder what will come of it...perhaps they can cast aside their differences, or at least settle upon a happier truce than the one they hve this moment - or better, they give in to their feelings.
You know, I still don't dislike Bandorion, even he is Caladwen's stalker - I still feel sorry for him, he's been rejected and feels alone.
xoxo LC
Author's Response: I can't wait for you to read the next few chapters and read your response about the characters you've mentioned above. New twists are on the way. Thanks again LC. Love hearing from you.
Well now, quite a lot has happened since my last perusal! I tun in to find out of Caladwen's abduction, and now she and Haldir are finally open about their feelings - not to mention he Deciding Day. It's been 'action packed' or so the cliche goes.
I pity Legolas' feelings, and I hope he overcomes them soon. I can't help but feel that of all the characters, both in this story, and the previous one, he is the biggest loser of them all.
As always, eagerly awaiting more :) LC
Author's Response: I'm assuming you mean Legolas has suffered the most loss and not that he is loser (idiot) LOL. But yes, his losses have been great. But if anyone can handle it, he can. And now that Caladwen chose immortality, he will always have his daughter around even after they sail. He just needs to accept Haldir is all.
