loved the bit about her wearing the dress; it's so true that in most of the mary sue stories of middle-earth whatever clothing the girls are given they are able to fit into without problems, and it seems always so natural to them.

Author's Response: Yes, exactly I have noticed that when a character, usually female, shows up and needs a new set of clothes there is always a gown or dress that just happens to be laying around and not only fits her perfectly but she looks absolutely beautiful and turns the head of the nearest male of course! While I don't imagine in Middle Earth typical fashion would have been tight and fitted but more loose and flowing that still does not mean everything there is 'One size fits all'

Title: Chapter 1: A Bit Of Advice Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
Thank you for posting this, on behalf of writers and reviewers, especially since you are both yourself! It is important for the reviewer to leave an objective commentary about what they just read, otherwise how else can the author know what they are writing is worth the while?

Author's Response: Everyone likes to know if they're doing a good job or not and reviews do just that. They boost our confidence and sometimes make us better writers. Sometimes friendships are born just because someone decided to leave feedback. You never know what will happen just by pressing that little button at the end of every story. Thank you for agreeing and for sharing your talent and your opinions. That's what it's all about.

There is a reason Thranduil is not mentioned in Tolkien's work; you have hit upon it directly.

Title: Chapter 5: The Final Battle Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
Oh boy....I think I discovered a renewable heat supply for the winter! It was beautifully written, and the musical inspiration was perfect!

Author's Response: I like your sense of humor. I owe the music to ladyjane. She gave me the inspiration to write this piece. There are so many songs that spark the imagination, very elvish in nature. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing this. It's nice to know there's another Thranduil enthusiast out there.

Title: Chapter 33: Foresight Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
I always wonder what I would do if someone gave me a premonition of my future; I think it's best that I don't know. And here Legolas is faced with the very thing. He is very sweet in his message to Rhav. I wonder how he will feel when he sees her in Gondor.

Author's Response: I for one would not want to know. I deal better if I don't know as apposed to knowing and sweating it. And Galadriel's warning was kind of vague. It could have meant just about anything. So now begins a change in these two lovers.

Title: Chapter 31: Severed Bond Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
Haldir's death was very saddening. I like at the very end how he slips in that he loves Rhav, could be his last laugh eh? Because she can't really follow him now. Legolas' hurt at her not taking comfort in his arms is understandable, but right now Rhav is in a mess. Hopefully she can fix her wrongs with the Prince. Like how you summarized the battle nicely.

Author's Response: Yes, you could say that. Haldir got the last word in. And she would never admit to it (and would kick my butt for saying this) but I think she had feelings for him, somewhere buried deep. Though I would not call it love. And Rhav could not have gone to Legolas. He is a part of her mess as you say. Only Antien can comfort her right now.

Title: Chapter 32: Stolen Moments Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
LMAO (laughing my ass off)!!! How utterly awkward that moment was to the two friends! And Antien is a fiesty Elf who I still love dearly! How they can go on seeing each other without that scene going through their minds is going to be tough. Nice distraction for Rhav though. And the scene with her and Legolas is touching. He is still so amiable towards her, and she remains somewhat reserved. But a good start for them both.

Author's Response: I'm glad you got a kick out of this. Think of all the laughs those two will have over the years. "Hey Rhav, remember when you grabbed my..." "You know you liked it Antien." Antien is fiesty and if you want a good read, please check out the author 'aur'. She has written a piece for my two favorite oc's. It is perfectly Antien/Glandur. She is a very good friend and has done justice to these two. It's called 'A day or so in the life of Antien and Glandur'.

Title: Chapter 1: Not This Day Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
I enjoyed the chapter despite its short length. I can't wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response: Nice to meet you Eldarin Princess. I hope you enjoy this tale. Chapters will not always be this short and knowing my history, there will be plenty more.

Title: Chapter 11: The Prince's Best Day Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
Seems they are destined to be with each other. And I love the character of Antien. Hope to see more of him in the future.

Author's Response: Thanks for this. I have never included slash in any of my stories and was worried about how my het readers would feel, which is why I only mention it in passing. But as for this tale, I think it is best I concentrate mainly on him being Rhav's best friend. He will have more scenes in the future though.

Title: Chapter 12: Letting Go Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
It's hard for someone who has been pressed into a certain role to forget what it is they truly want. And for Legolas to insist she remain locked up, that is cruel indeed. But how can he understand? The roles of elleth and ellon always will remain. Rhavaniel is brave to swallow her pride and dreams and have gone on with her father's wishes. In this current day and age of self wishes, the small act of compromise is what truly saves the day, but what is now lost and forgotten. Wow, the last sentence came out too philosophical than intended.

I really enjoyed this chapter. :)

Author's Response: I think Legolas is just now realizing that there is more than friendship and desire for Rhav. He's falling in love and only wants to protect her, forgetting the fact that she can manage quite well on her own. She senses this and it's just a reminder of how the males want to suppress the females, not intensionally but out of love. It's a very fine line. She is also discovering something about herself. She is a born warrior and craves the kill. This new revelation is going to fuel her need to fight and cause havoc in the future. But for now she's doing what she thinks is right and putting aside her own wants. Thanks again for reading and the kind review.

Title: Chapter 14: When Hearts Collide Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
This was a great chapter. Rhav's uncertainties are still there, even though she thoroughly enjoyed the experience. And Legolas' embarassment was adoring, as well as his concern for his lady. Thank you for your description of this Prince.

Author's Response: I just had to make him have this awkward moment. It is their first time and it is not perfect as some might make it out to be. Besides, think of all the practice they will need. *wink wink*

Title: Chapter 15: The Prisoner Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
I wasn't prepared for Gollum, how exciting! He definitely is one you pity at first glance without knowing his truly devious nature; I think of schizophrenics when I hear his name. And the fact that the Elves were kind to him is how he really escaped.

Glad that Rhav got her wish, though sadly with a rather disheartening price. At least Legolas was there. And Antien, I am in love with him. :)

Author's Response: I threw Gollum in for a time line and I needed to get Rhav out of the castle. Got your back Rhav. She's gonna fight if it's the last thing I do. Your support for Antien is wonderful. He was a character I just threw in at first and I didn't give him much thought. But he seems to be making a good impression and he's grown on me too. I actually rewrote this chapter. I was going to have him die in this scene, further pushing Rhav to lead a warrior life. It never did sit right with me and I decided to keep him. I might write him his own piece about how he meets Glandur. Don't know. We'll see. Thanks so much for supporting my story. We writers gotta stick together.

Title: Chapter 16: Misfortune Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
It was bound to happen. Her vivacity is too much for her father and Legolas to handle out of their love and concern. And now that she has been wounded, and could have died, or taken by the Orcs (a far worse fate than death) all the hidden agendas come out. It is too bad that marriage pushed that way seems to her father to be the solution, and out of love for her Legolas feels the same. I just hope Rhav finds what she needs.

Author's Response: She is strong and will pull through. It is like the straw that broke the camels back and she just needs a little push. As you said, her father and Legolas only do this because they love her so much. But she needs to find out what she's made of. I'm so glad you get this. No woman should be held back and she's gonna find her way.

Title: Chapter 17: Love and Duty Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
Great chapter. I just actually watched FotR and the Council scene reminded me that I didn't review, so here I am :)

Author's Response: Glad you're here and still enjoying it. You know, I haven't watched the movies in a long time. You mentioning it makes me want to go back and watch 'em again.

Title: Chapter 18: Choices Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
I can't imagine how it feels to know the one you love may never return, and to feel both encouragement and anxiety at the same time is hard. Understandably they would want to spend their last night together in a memorable way.

As for Rhav, seeing Frodo step up boldly as Ring-bearer certainly made her encouraged to pursue her dreams. I hope she finds what she needs in the Golden Wood. Though now her future with Legolas is hazy at best.

Author's Response: It was a night well spent for both of them, but she will not let him woo her into returning to Mirkwood. For too long Rhav has done what's right by others. And I like to think that Frodo affected everyone that was at that counsel. It was just the thing she needed to give her that final push out the door. It's what's waiting for her that will be her biggest surprise and discovery about herself.

Title: Chapter 19: The Renegade Reviewer: EldarinPrincess Signed
Poor Legolas, waking up to an empty bed with that letter. I am glad Rhav followed through with her decision; the first step is always the hardest. I sense a friendship will develop between her and Haldir. Can't wait!

Author's Response: You hit the nail on the head about first steps. It's usually the toughest thing to do. Rhav is tough and she knows what she has to do. One thing is for sure, nothing comes easy and we are in for one hell of a ride. Thank you for always being so prompt with your reviews. It's nice to have your support and you definitely have mine. ; - )
