An incredibly touching story! usually it's hard to imagine that our little heroes didn't survive, since i am fond of them,But i think that it is very likely that there would be a monument for them if they didn't get out alive, a tribute to their sacrifice. brilliant original characters are very believable and the AU isn't very overpowering. i liked the background story to the sculptor and the handmaiden was endearing. overall great job.

Author's Response: Thanks for your comments threaderofink! So glad you like the story. It's my first LotR fanfic and I knew the premise was a bit daring...but I decided to go with it anyway. Yes, there should definitely be a monument, shouldn't there? It's wonderful you like the OC's, I enjoy them as well. Thanks once more!
