She was a cop in her world, cursed & banished, she ends up in ME. Now she finds herself traveling with the Fellowship & struggling to adapt to a strange world & trying not to change it. Can she find her way home & when the time comes, will she want to?
I love Lane! She is so unlike any tenth walker I've read about. By far one of the best oc's I have come across, including those outside of the LOTR fandom. Besides a brilliant character, I enjoy the plot. Although, speeding it up a bit would be nice. The only critique I have is that Lane can get a little too anti-male. I get that she's been struggling in a male dominated world, but I think she's a bit overly harsh on the opposite sex. Of course, that is simply my opinion. As I am not in her position, I don't know how I would act in a similar situation.
I await your next post with baited breath!

I'm very flattered that you're liking Lane so far!
Hopefully things will speed up a bit now, it's hard to get through a lot of stuff in the beginning.
Lane does come off as trying to be pretty tough in the beginning, but it wasn't my intention that she come off anti-male. She gets along with men better than women since she's been around men more in her line of work/duty but I do realize she seems like she's getting frustrated with the whole male dominated world. She's trying to be understanding (and doing a better job than I think I'd be able to do) but it's gotta be tough when she's spent so many years fighting for the guys to treat her like a guy and now feel like she's gone backwards about a thousand steps. But she and the guys will eventually figure things out! ;)
And the new chapter is up, so you can go check that one out now!
Thanks again so much for the wonderful review! I love hearing from you guys!
