How well laid out and sad. I never knew my father but I have grown similarly distant from some that I have loved. So on that level I suppose I can vaguely relate. I will not say I can understand but I do sympathize.
Author's Response: It really sucks sometimes. But I read it out loud to my class, everyone thought I was gonna cry. But like the awesome bastard I am, it was part of the act. I did give my father the monologue, but I haven't gotten a response from him yet. Oh well.
