While relatively new to the online community of Tolkien fandom I am far from new when it comes to the works of Master Tolkien. I first read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings when I was twelve (a lifetime ago it sometimes seems) and it literally changed my life.

It was the Elves that did it. I blame them entirely. Blast their blessed pointed ears to hell.

Ah well, that being aside I have spent the last few months lurking the better archives and must say how impressed I am by the caliber of writing I have seen. I have written for other fandom but that was about five years ago. I feel it's time to blow the dust off my computer and have a go at it once again.
