What can I say? I'm lovable, huggable me...

No, seriously, for the most part, I'm your run-of-the-mill college graduate with BA degress in Art Studio and Art History. I discovered fanfiction some years ago--I was twelve or thirteen, I think--and have since then developed quite a fascination with it. While I've been reading it for quite a long time, it has only been in recent years that I've actually indulged in writing. I like stories with a bit of flare. Creativity and originality are must haves, as I find that it gets somewhat annoying to read the same thing over and over again, and I'm a sucker for romance, if it's properly--and I stress the "properly"--written. That is to say, the development of the relationship follows a realistic span of time and the individuals involved actually act like a couple, rather than a pair of hormonal teenagers who never fight.

Some general info...

Age: 28

Location: Presently, the Southeastern United States

Hobbies and Interests: CERAMICS :); drawing, painting--anything dealing with the visual arts really--reading, writing, messing with my laptop, hanging with the crew, working out, and napping (I've only recently realized just how much of my time this particular activity takes up).

Favorite Music: I have a rather ecclectic musical interest really. It varies, but for the most part it's classic and alternative rock. I listen to a lot of industrial/techno/trance--whatever you want to call it--too. Classical and folk's cool, as is some country music. I also have a strange attraction to motion picture soundtracks--The Lord of the Rings, Kingdom of Heaven, The Last Samurai, and The House of Flying Daggers' scores are quite conductive to writing, I've found. Some of my favorite artists are: The Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty, The Beatles, Coldplay, The Decemberists, Iron and Wine, Snow Patrol, Dave Matthews, The Hush Sound, Gavin DeGraw, John Mayer, Ray LaMontagne, and many, many others.

Favorite Books: Pretty much anything fantasy-related: Tolkien, in particular (The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings =), The Silmarillion), Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Legend of the Five Rings, The Sword of Truth series (though I'm still working on those), Memiors of a Geisha, Siddhartha, Steppenwolfe, the Iliad and the Odyssey, and a plethora of others. Oh, and can't beat Shakespeare.

Favorite TV Shows: Bones, MASH (I realize that's odd, but I can't help it), Grey's Anatomy, Big Bang Theory, Boston Legal, Friends, CSI: Miami and New york, NCIS, Deadliest Warrior, What Not to Wear (people frighten me...really they do), Futurama and Family Guy...I'll watch pretty much whatever's on.

Dislikes: Mathematics of any nature, shape, or form; people who are nice to you to your face and then talk about you like a dog behind your back; fanfics riddled with grammatical and/or spelling errors--granted those things somtimes occur, but when it's obvious that an author has blatantly disregarded the proof-reading process, then it's just irritating--and cold weather. Oh, and it drives me absolutely crazy when people use the incorrect forms of words (i.e. "their" for "there" and vise versa) or incorrect words in context such as with "amused" and "bemused." Really, people, "amused" implies that someone finds humor in something or that something is funny. "Bemused" is simply another word for "confused" or "bewildered." Big difference there.

Summary: "There I was, my back against a tree, cornered by a beautiful, bow-wielding man who dressed as though he had fallen out of an Errol Flynn film—granted, Flynn had nothing on him, in my opinion, anyway—while being verbally harassed by some old geezer."

The tale of Kelly Elaine Day, an unwitting university student who discovers herself playing the punch-line to one very sick cosmic joke.

Middle-earth will never be the same.
