I loved your first sentence, exactly as Elrond would think and a great dramatic opener. You have a keen eye for personalities and show it in gestures and dialogue, good characterisations. Elrond's conflict as a father to foster son Aragorn and to daughter Arwen is well drawn. I can feel his emotion. Nice advice from Gandalf full of perception and wisdom. Good inclusion of the histroy behind this moment in Elrond's thoughts. Beautiful image of the reforged sword and the scene at the memorial is wonderful. It would have been lovely to see some of Aragorn's emotion and feeling too here toward Elrond and his destiny. This was a really well done challenge.
